Cardinals vs Braves

The start of this game was delayed for nearly 2 and a half hours as a violent storm ripped through St. Louis. First came the dust storm, then came the lightning and sideways rain. In the game itself, Carpenter worked quickly and effectively getting through 7 innings only allowing 2 runs. Jim Edmonds put the Cards up for good with a 3-run homer in the 4th and the Cardinals won a fairly quick game 8-3.
