Jeff Weaver pitched the game of his life in game 5 allowing 1 ER in 8 innings on 4 hits with 9 strikeouts. David Eckstein led the way for the Cardinals with 2 hits and 2 RBIs all coming by way of well-placed infield grounders. Yadier Molina was 3 for 4 (.412 avg for the series) with 2 runs scored. Adam Wainwright got the final 3 outs including a strikeout to cap the Cardinals 10th World Series title.
